The Job:
- Manage procurement activities and subcontractor services.
- Manage product schedules and performance schedules.
- Use MRP systems to manage purchase workflow.
- Work with engineering and production teams to forecast demand.
- Manage outsourcing of sub-contract work.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers.
- Source and purchase raw materials, consumable, and tooling.
About you:
- Proven experience within a technical or engineering buying role.
- Strond understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience within a component manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Detail orientated with strong organizational skills
